She was born June 20, 1920, at Valley Falls, the daughter of William and Grace Ellen Gettler Wettig. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1938. She married Raymond Joseph Griffin on Dec. 7, 1942, at Topeka. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1993. She was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society, the Ladies Auxiliary of Grahem- Herbers Post No. 3084 Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Historical Society, all in Valley Falls. She is survived by many friends and family members. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church in Valley Falls. Burial will be in Valley Falls Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Visitation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson County Emergency Medical Service, District 11, (formerly Valley Falls Rescue Squad), Jefferson County Home Health and Hospice, or St. Mary's Altar Society, and sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
