Buline, 87, of Lone Tree, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at her home in Lone Tree. The family would like to thank everyone for all the calls, visits, and prayers they received from the community, as well as Iowa City Hospice, and a special thanks to Carol Kaalberg. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2014, at St. Mary’s Church in Lone Tree. The family has asked for anyone attending the service to wear bright colors to create a living quilt in memory of Wilma. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Following the committal services at the cemetery, desserts and coffee will be served at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Visitation for Wilma will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Lone Tree. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Wilma that will be used for various local organizations in Lone Tree. Online condolences may be left for the Buline family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. Wilma Mae Fesler was born April 7, 1927, in Riverside, Iowa, the daughter of Lyle and Bessie (Gerot) Fesler. Wilma was united in marriage to James Buline on October 15, 1947, in Riverside, Iowa. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Lone Tree, St. Mary’s Altar & Rosary, Ceramic Six, Fremont Homemakers, and was the founder of Chit Chat. Wilma enjoyed volunteering at Pioneer Park for many years, being a reading buddy at the school, sewing with friends, jigsaw puzzles, card playing, bird watching, Iowa sports, her backyard fish pond, and gardening. Wilma will be deeply missed by her children, James W. Buline and wife, Pam, of Crowheart, Wyoming, Carolyn Schulte and husband, Duane, of Cedar Rapids, Julie Poeltler and husband, “Chuck”, of Iowa City, Robert Buline and wife, Julie, of Lone Tree ; five grandchildren, Jamie Achey (Mark), Amanda Frank (David), Morgan Terrell (Blake), Jay Buline (McKenzie), Dillon Buline, Robert J. Buline; five great-grandchildren, Ella and Clara Achey, Corban and Jocelyn Terrell, James Kipton Buline; three sisters, Betty Philbin of Madison, Wisconsin, Shirley Clausen of Iowa City, Marilyn Eagle of Riverside, and one sister-in-law, Darlene Schott of Riverside . Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters, Marjorie Walsh and Marie Reed.
