Description	:	Wilma Pearl Miller, 88, Kokomo, was called home Monday, December 16, 2019. She was born September 10, 1931, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Morris & Ethel (Elsa) Hughes. On April 6, 1948, at the Salvation Army in Kokomo, she married Earcil R. Miller who preceded her in death on June 23, 2004. She enjoyed baking, and spending time with her family, especially... Read More	Wilma Pearl Miller, 88, Kokomo, was called home Monday, December 16, 2019. She was born September 10, 1931, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Morris & Ethel (Elsa) Hughes. On April 6, 1948, at the Salvation Army in Kokomo, she married Earcil R. Miller who preceded her in death on June 23, 2004. Wilma retired from Delco Electronics as a group leader in Dept. 850 after 35 years of service. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, and UAW Local #292. She enjoyed baking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wilma is survived by her son, Gary (Nancy) Miller; daughter-in-law, Betty Miller; grandchildren, Melissa Rhoades, Lee Ann Miller, Brandon Miller, Paul Miller, and Joey Mabrey, along with several great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, John Allen Miller, and James “Jimmy” Arthur Miller; grandson, John Allen Miller II; siblings, Pauline, Irene, Thelma, Carl, Cleo, Dorothy, and Betty; and 3 infant siblings. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Northwoods Village, St. Vincent Kokomo, and her caretaker Joshua Miller for the care and compassion shown to Wilma and her family. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, December 23, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Jason Grant officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1-4 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Wilma’s memory to Shirley & Stout Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
