Wilma Lucy Pippert was born January 25, 1928 on her parent's homestead north of Quinn, South Dakota, the daughter of William and Anna (Rehm) Pippert. She grew up there and received her elementary education at the Rickard School. She graduated from Quinn High School and then attended National College of Business in Rapid City. Read More	QUINN - Wilma Lynch, age 81 of Quinn, South Dakota, died July 17, 2009, at the Hans P. Peterson Memorial Hospital in Philip. Wilma Lucy Pippert was born January 25, 1928 on her parent's homestead north of Quinn, South Dakota, the daughter of William and Anna (Rehm) Pippert. She grew up there and received her elementary education at the Rickard School. She graduated from Quinn High School and then attended National College of Business in Rapid City. She was united in marriage to Verlyn Lynch on November 8, 1949 at Custer. They made their home on the Lynch homestead north of Quinn where they resided until 1964. They then moved to a farm north of Wall. Wilma worked many years at the Wall Drug Store and at the Welsh Motel. After retiring in 1986 they moved into Quinn. Her husband preceded her in death on January 27, 1998 but she continued to make her home in Quinn. Wilma's enjoyment in life besides her family was crocheting and working crossword puzzles. Grateful for having shared her life include two sons Terry Lynch of Wall, and Randy Lynch and his wife Carol of Quinn; one daughter Pam Mattson of Custer; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Verlyn, Wilma was preceded in death by two grandchildren; a daughter-in-law Diane Lynch; a son-in-law Milan Mattson; her parents; three brothers Walter Pippert, Elmer Pippert, and Bill Pippert; and six sisters Viola Schuler, Helen Lynch, Opal Ritzman, Sylvia Pippert, Lorain Pippert, and Violet Hook. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 19, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rush Funeral Chapel in Wall and one hour preceding the service. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, at 10 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Wall with the Rev. Curtis Garland officiating. Interment will be held at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Quinn, South Dakota. Funeral Services are with the Rush Funeral Home of Wall. An online register book is available at www.rushfuneralhome.com.
