Read More	Blood Poisoning Results in Death Friends of Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis of Clay Center will sympathize deeply with them in the loss of their only son, Wilmer, who died at the hospital in Lincoln Sunday morning from blood poisoning. He had completed his course at the Nebraska Medical College and graduated this month. He was assisting in a post mortem examination when the needle he was using slipped thru this rubber glove and priced his finger. When done with his work, he played a game of tennis and afterwards took ice cream with some friends. A little later he became ill and his finger began to pain him. He was hurried to the hospital and his parents were summoned. This was on Tuesday. In spite of all that could be done to save him, he succumbed to the poison and thus at the age of thirty years passed out a life that was full of hope and promise. Wilmer was a fine young man who had worked his way to the beginning of a useful and successful career, as it seemed; but it was not so to be. His clean, upright life will continue to be a blessing and an inspiration to nobler living to those who cherish his memory. The funeral was held at Clay Center on Tuesday, June 21, a week after the accident occurred. Interment was made in the Edgar Cemetery.
