Description	:	The funeral for Wilson J. Teeters was held Tuesday at the Hamel and Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah. Mr. Teeters died July 8 at his home, he was 87. He was born January 19, 1901 at Auburn to Wilson and Katherine (Herron) Teeters. He married Ruth Tucker, November 4, 1954 at Fremont. A mechanic by trade, he worked and lived in Omaha for some time. His most recent employer was Smith’s Sales & Service in Omaha. He retired in 1970. Survivors include his wife of Decatur; one son, Clarence Teeters of Decatur; two daughters; Ethel Phillips of Decatur, and Wilma Letheby of Lincoln; three stepsons, Kenneth Norwood of Omaha, Donald Norwood of Blair, and Robert Norwood of Guthrie Center, Iowa; one stepdaughter, Margaret Brown of Portland, Oregon; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray Teeters of Arapahoe; nieces and nephews. The Rev. Marion H. Knoell officiated at the rite, Dianna Kindler, organist, and Ethelyn Brewer and Evelyn Miller, vocalists, provided music. Casket bearers were Larry French, Harold Bacon, Dwayne Haeflner, Clark Reed, Gerald Bacon and Jim Phillips. Burial was in the Lyons Cemetery. DECATUR HERALD Thursday, July 14, 1988
