Mr Aldrich was a self-employed construction contractor. He was a member of the Angola Christian Church. He was also a member of the Angola Masonic Lodge 236, York Rite Bodies, past commander of Commandry 45, and Scottish Rite, Valley of Fort Wayne. Mr. Aldrich was a 50-year member and Past Patron of the Angola Chapter 78 Order of the Eastern Star. He was born Dec 22, 1914 in Steuben County to Carlton F and Jeannette (Packer) Aldrich. Surviving are his second wife, Marian Henry Aldrich of Jackson Mich; a son of Angola; a daughter of Lebanon Ind; a brother, Bruce Aldrich of Hamilton; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Vivian Aldrich on Feb 24, 1994; a daughter, Stephanie Garcia on Feb 27, 2002; eight sisters; and six brothers. Funeral services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Weicht Funeral Home in Angola with Pastor Jim Hulbert officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Cemetery at Hamilton Ind. Calling will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service will be at 7:30 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
