Rev. Mark Dunham will officiate. Wilton (Wilt) LeRoy Forsman was born October 16, 1930, to O.U. and Myrtle (Anderson) Forsman at the family home in rural Hamilton County. Graduating from Aurora High School in 1948, he farmed with his father until joining the Army, where he served in the Korean conflict as a corporal in the 7th Regiment of the 1st Cavalry division. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to farm in Hamilton County. In 1954, he married Eileen Blase, to whom he was married for 65 years until her death in 2019. Together they raised four children and grew a successful family farming operation. Wilt was a member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church in rural Hamilton County. Over the years, he served the church on a variety of committees and boards. He loved music, many Sunday afternoons the house was filled with "Mantovani". He sang in the church choir, in quartets, sang occasional duets with Eileen and for a time was the choir director. Wilt studied and remained very interested in new farming methods until his death. In recent years, he served on the FSA board, and was an active member of the Aurora Lions Club earning top peach salesman. Many knew him as "the peach man". Other interests of his were Airplanes, Trains, heavy earth moving equipment, and soloing in his J3 Piper Cub. He visited friends and acquaintances in area care centers and nursing homes, getting to know them and sharing his faith in Jesus Christ, singing and praying with them. Preceding him in death are his wife Eileen, his parents, stepmother Ellen Forsman, parents-in-law Victor and Emilie Blase, step mother-in-law Eatheal Blase, brothers-in-law Duane Blase and Willis Bengtson and aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. Wilt is survived by four children and their spouses: Kristin (John) Yockey, Nancy (Roy) Hofrichter, Scott (Diane) Forsman and Paul (Barbara) Forsman; 10 grandchildren , Dan (Denae) Yockey, Kate Yockey, Tom (Paige) Yockey, Sara (Richard) Leung, Marc (Erin) Hofrichter, Janelle (Bryan) Asche, Michael (Madison) Forsman, Jacob (Julie) Forsman, Carly (James) Pruch, Rebekah (Daniel) Moline, and 16 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Lucile Bengtson and Joyce Blase, cousins Dr Richard (Judy) Forsman and Dr Patricia (Paul) Bunger, Wilford (LaDonna) Bergmark, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
