Gardner and Lydia Wilson The Courier Asheboro, North Carolina 19 Jul 1923, Thu • Page 1 MRS WINCIE PARK8 DEAD Mrs Wincy Parks, of Franklinville. widow of the late Charlie Parks, died at Memorial hospital, last Tues day morning. Mrs. Parks suffered stroke of paralysis In February, from which she never fully recovered. When brought to the hospital about three weeks ago, she was suffering from the results of a fall. Mrs Parks was born October 22, 1844, being at the time of her death 78 years old. She was married to the late Charlie Parks in 1861, and to them were born seven children , only three of whom survive her. They are Miss Ellen Parks, of Franklinville, with whom the deceased made her home; and Mrs. Fannie Cox and Mrs. Charles Vestel, of Plainfield, Indiana. She leaves several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of friends who will sadly miss her. The deceased was born near Coleridge, where she lived until about thirty years ago, when she moved to Franklinville. Funeral services were conducted at Parks Cross Roads Christian Church, Wednesday at 2:30.
