Description	:	Winifred "Winnie" Huston, 86, died at Caliche Senior Living in Casa Grande, Arizona, on September 3, 2021. Winnie was born August 8, 1935, in Stoneham, Maine, the daughter of Emmett F. Buffett and Lillian L. Varrell Buffett. She was married on October 31, 1953, to Clarence La Verne Huston and made their first home in Marshalltown, Iowa. She worked at Marshalltown Instruments until their closing in 1980 when she began her new career in housekeeping. In the mid 1990's she and La Verne moved to Lake Ponderosa in Montezuma, Iowa. Winnie was born August 8, 1935, in Stoneham, Maine, the daughter of Emmett F. Buffett and Lillian L. Varrell Buffett. She was married on October 31, 1953, to Clarence La Verne Huston and made their first home in Marshalltown, Iowa. She worked at Marshalltown Instruments until their closing in 1980 when she began her new career in housekeeping. In the mid 1990's she and La Verne moved to Lake Ponderosa in Montezuma, Iowa. Winnie relocated permanently to Casa Grande after her husband's death in 2005, a place where they had wintered for many years. Winnie had many interests including a large stuffed bear collection, quilting, dancing, painting, and pencil coloring. She also enjoyed time with friends from the Sunscape RV Resort and riding her 3-wheeled bike with her beloved dog Lilly. Winnie is survived by her daughter Wendy (Mike) Fields, Casa Grande, Arizona; sons Tom (Carol) Huston, Chico, California, and Emmett (Terry) Huston, Ankeny, Iowa; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband La Verne; and son Jimmy. Memorial contributions will be forwarded to the Alzheimer's association.
