Description	:	Winnie Grace Miller was born October 31, 1886 at Sioux City, Iowa, to George L. and Ardilla Rasmussen. At the age of seven years her parents moved to Vermillion, where she attended grade and high school. On January 23, 1907, she married John 0. Miller and they lived nine miles southwest of Beresford, and on this farm their four children were born. Read More	Winnie Grace Miller was born October 31, 1886 at Sioux City, Iowa, to George L. and Ardilla Rasmussen. At the age of seven years her parents moved to Vermillion, where she attended grade and high school. On January 23, 1907, she married John 0. Miller and they lived nine miles southwest of Beresford, and on this farm their four children were born. In 1938 they moved to a farm southwest of Parker, where they resided until the time of her death. She was baptized in the Episcopal church at Vermillion and later attended the Komstad Mission church at Beresford, teaching in the Sunday school and sang in the choir, and had a membership in the Methodist Ladies' Aid here. Mrs. Miller had been in failing health for the past ten years but her unfailing courage had kept quite active. She was a loving mother and a beautiful homemaker. Her many kind deeds will be remembered by everyone who knew her. On Sunday, May 6, after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage that afternoon passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Finn. Those who mourn her departure are her husband and children: Margaret (Mrs. Louis Finn), Dorothy (Mrs. Jack Rasmussen), Lorraine (Mrs. Arnold Staum), and John Conrow (Connie). There are ten grandchildren; also three sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Mabel Bowles, Capitola, Calif.; Mrs. Maude Jamison, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Rolla Kelley, Ricketts, Iowa; George L., of Hollywood, Calif.; and Arthur Rasmussen, Capitola, Calif. One sister, Gertrude Fisher, preceded her in death in 1918. Memorial services were held at the home at 2:00 May 9 and at the Methodist church in Parker, with Rev. D.F. Lyon officiating. Music was furnished by Maurice Rundell soloist, and Mrs. Lester Wray at the Hammond organ. Mrs. Luverne Langerock and Mrs. Walter Kraft were in charge of floral arrangements. She was laid to rest in the Rose Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Hans Peterson, William Selby, Virgil Nelson, Robert Johnson, Leonard Finn and George Bousfield.
