Mr. McCants was born in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Henry Russell and Florie Cannon McCants. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Conway. Mr. McCants was born in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Henry Russell and Florie Cannon McCants. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Conway. Mr. McCants was a proud member of the Angler Sunday School Class. He was a devout husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Mr. McCants worked with International Paper Company for over 44 years. Surviving are his wife, Judy Dutton McCants of Conway; one son, Kim Grainger and wife, Patricia, of Kissimmiee, Fla.; five daughters, Catherine "Cathy" McCants-Powell of Myrtle Beach, Tame Lambert and husband, Rev. James L. "Jimmy" Lambert, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Kelly Torbett Richardson and husband, Monty, Tammy Yarborough and husband, Sam, and Mandy Montgomery, all of Conway; 10 grandchildren, Tracy Langdon, Kristen Sanders, Trey Lambert, Nicholas Yarborough, Seth Yarborough, Jennifer Grainger, Holly Capps, Lindsey Stalvey, Ariel Grainger, and Jason Grainger; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Bell Elliott and husband, John S., of Andrews, Vivian Owens and husband, Donald, of Georgetown, and Barbara Jean McCants of Andrews; and one brother, Jimmy R. McCants and wife, Ann, of Georgetown; and special friends, Lloyd James and Bill Holt. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Guffey and the Rev. Jimmy Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service, from 2 until 3 p.m., at the First Baptist Church.
