He is survived by his wife, five children: Myrna (Don) Nelson, Tacoma, WA; Karen (Wade) Seely, Blackfoot, ID; Arlene (Rick) Neilson, Colo de Caza, CA: Reed (Clarese) Stringham, West Jordan, UT; Janice (Brian) Fairbanks, Raymond; daughter -in -law Jennie (Wade) Stringam, American For, UT; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 5 brothers and 1 sister; Owen (Leone) Stringam; Briant Stringam, Elwood (Lila) Stringam; Bryce (Mary) Stringam, Mary Russle and Mark (Enes) Stringam; special cousins; Beth Kesler, Loyia Heggie and Vesta (Frank) Anderson and numerous cousins, necies, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; a son Wade; sister Emily and brothers Lonnie, Morris and Dale. Woody attended school in Glenwood. At 17 years of age he became foreman of the family ranch at Milk River. He was successful in many business ventures; a garage, theatre and bowling ally in Milk river, ranching at Cressford; agent realtor for Stringham property sales; President of the Lethbridge Real Estate Board (1970-1971) and manager, with his wife of the Seventy's L.D.S. Bookstore from 1980 to 1992. He was on the school Mile River and in 1956 became first elected Mayor. He was an active member of the L.D.S. church and was the first Branch President in Milk River, fulfilled a two year mission to the Gleichen Reserve, was Bishop of the R Rosemary Ward, a High Councilman, High Priest Group Leader and held many other callings through out his life. The funeral service will be held in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lethbridge East Stake Center, 4105 Forestry Ave. South on Tuesday, August 11, 1998, at 20:00 p.m. with Bishop William H. Laycock officiating. Interment in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond Alberta. Friends may meet the family at the Christensen Salmon Funeral Home on Monday, August 10, 1998 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. or at the church from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the Service.
