Also surviving are grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands and a sister, Sylvia Carr. Born Oct. 18, 1907, in Mechanicsville to Melvin and Iona Lahmon Carr, she married John Umbdenstock in December 1924. He died Sept. 10, 1932. On Aug. 21, 1947, she married Rush Clippinger. He died June 14, 1962. For six years, Mrs. Clippinger worked for JCPenney, then worked in food service for the Cedar Rapids Community School District. Wretha loved her church, family and friends.
