His funeral service will be 1 PM Saturday February 1, 2014 at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike O'Brien and Rev. Rick Clough officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the service at Bethany United Methodist Church. He was an employee of Old North State Club at Uwharrie Point and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Mr. Green is survived by his wife Patty Sides Green of Albemarle, N.C. Other survivors include a son, Dennis L. Green of Concord, N.C., two daughters: Cindy Ward and husband Frank of Stoneville, N.C. and Zeena Upchurch and husband Stuart of Concord, N.C., a half- brother, Steven Lail and wife Lynn of Southmont, N.C., a half-sister, Martha Ring of Lexington, N.C. and five grandchildren: Travis Ward, Hunter Ward, Alex Upchurch, Will Upchurch and Keah Green. Memorials may be made to: Sadie Sides Playground c/o Bethany United Methodist Church, 2411 US Hwy. 52 N., Albemarle, N.C. 28001.
