Description	:	Jean Pease passed away on Aug. 20, 2012, at RiverStone Health Hospice home in Billings after a courageous three-year battle against cancer. Jean was born Wyoma Asay on Sept. 22, 1926, in Lovell, Wyo., the youngest of Daniel Ferguson Asay and Ida Victoria ("Tory") Hatch Asay's nine children. She was blessed to have a close-knit family and a happy childhood in Lovell and at the family farm on Crooked Creek. Jean was born Wyoma Asay on Sept. 22, 1926, in Lovell, Wyo., the youngest of Daniel Ferguson Asay and Ida Victoria ("Tory") Hatch Asay's nine children. She was blessed to have a close-knit family and a happy childhood in Lovell and at the family farm on Crooked Creek. As a young girl, she enjoyed riding her horse, going to the movies, exploring the area hills and countryside with her siblings, attending Sunday School, pep squad, singing and dancing. Jean's first marriage to Bill Kysar produced three beautiful little girls: Linda, Vicky and Peggy. After their divorce, she moved to Billings where she met and married her best friend, Walter Pease, on Feb. 5, 1958. Together, they added another beautiful daughter, Terri, to the family. Jean enjoyed working at Buttrey Foods for 16 years and held many other part-time jobs throughout her working years. She enjoyed taking long walks, camping and fishing with her husband and friends in the summer, cooking family dinners, doing the crossword puzzle every morning, and quilting. Her hands were always working on a project, and her lovely quilts, kitchen towels, tablecloths and other handiwork gifts are treasured by her family and friends. Jean enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, and her life was marked by kindness, generosity and warm hospitality. She frequently welcomed company into her home for a meal, dessert and coffee, or just some conversation. She made friends easily, and will be greatly missed by her family, close friends, and new community of friends at Aspen View Retirement Home, where she and Walt lived at the time of her death. She was a faithful Christian and looked to the Lord for strength, peace and comfort throughout the ups and downs of life, including her fight against cancer. Jean was grateful for God's many blessings in her life, and we look forward to seeing her again one day in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, daughter Linda Arbogast, granddaughter Karenna Strever, and grandson Scott Strom. Jean is survived by her husband, Walter; her daughters Vicky Ochs, Peggy Clements and Terri (Chuck) Blackburn; 11 grandchildren, Julie (Doug) Martin, Nancy (Sam) Andalino, Steven (Cynthia Brewer) Arbogast, Mark Strever, Mike (Soonja) Strever, Wally Strever, Joel (Rhonphoncel) Strom, Victor Clements, Ryan Clements, Lindsay Blackburn, and Annie (Ryan) Davis; 12 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Dr. Dennis Maier, Dr. Patrick Cobb and Dr. Lisa Malody of St. Vincent Healthcare, and the nurses and staff of RiverStone Health Hospice Home for their exceptional care. Smith's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Yellowstone County Veterans Cemetery, 55 Buffalo Trail Road in Laurel, Mont. A celebration of life memorial service and reception lunch will follow at 11 a.m. in the Shiloh Room at Emmanuel
