Description	:	OTTUMWA - Yvonne Faith Olson, 85, of 102 W. Finley, died at 11:30 am January 23, 2012 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. She was born December 1, 1926 in Algona to Ernest and Nina Pfeffer Punke. She married Jay Richard Olson on February 18, 1946. He preceded her in death August 1, 1996. A 1944 graduate of Ottumwa Heights Academy, she had worked in dietary at St. Joseph Hospital and at the Senior Center on Main St. Yvonne was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and served as treasurer of the Friendship Club at South Oak Towers. Surviving are two sons, Richard L.(Martha)Olson of Ottumwa and Robert J.(Julie)Olson of Ottumwa, Jane(David)Fite of Agency and Diane Olson of Kansas City, KS; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Patton; a brother, John Punke; and a sister, Betty Punke. Funeral Mass will be 1 pm Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Patrick Hilgendorf presiding. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 pm Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home. A Christian Wake service will be 6:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home followed by family visitation until 8:30 pm Wednesday. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
