Description	:	Mass of Christian Burial for Yvonne Marie Olson, 69, of Hettinger, ND will be Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Father John Mathai will officiate and burial will follow at the Hettinger Cemetery. Visitations will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 19th at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Hettinger and one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday morning. Yvonne Marie Wagendorf was born on February 26, 1935 to John and Antonette (Tupa) Wagendorf at the family farm near Regent, ND. She grew up on the Wagendorf farm and attended Alden Country School. Yvonne moved to Hettinger, ND in 1951 at the age of 16 and started working at the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company. She lived with her Brother and Sister-in-law, Joe and Marion Wagendorf. While in Hettinger she met Norman Olson. They were united in marriage on June 16, 1955 at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Regent, ND. Norman worked for a seismograph crew, which required much travel throughout the tri-state area. While in Montana, the first two of their three children were born. After returning to the Hettinger area to farm, their third child was born. In 1963, they moved into Hettinger. There, in addition to raising her three children, Yvonne worked various jobs until she retired in 2000. Yvonne enjoyed designing her own arts and crafts. These ranged from paintings to Barbie Doll Furniture. She also liked gardening and was very proud of her flowerbeds. She especially loved spending time with her family. What put a big smile on her face was being asked, as we always did when family gathered, to make her famous fried chicken followed by a variety of bars from the freezer. There was always an abundance of these ready for when 'the boys' were coming home. Yvonne was a very loving Wife, Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, and Friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Yvonne's enduring faith served her well in this life, now God has taken her home. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Norman Olson, of Hettinger; sons, Mark and wife Debbie Olson, of Chandler, AZ and Blake and wife Sharon Olson, of Gilbert, AZ; daughter, Jackie and husband Dave Muggerud, of Hettinger; brothers, John Wagendorf, of Detroit Lakes, MN, Joe and wife Marion Wagendorf, of Hettinger, Ray and wife Jenny Wagendorf, of Wilton, ND, Don and wife Marlene Wagendorf, of Regent, ND and Dan Wagendorf, of Williston, ND; sisters, Katherine and husband Don Heise, of Sentinel Butte, ND and Leona Gordon, of New England, ND; six grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Brian Kennedy, Nicole and husband Scott Waldron, Tony and wife Amy Muggerud, Christi Muggerud, Kaley Olson, Kyle Olson, ?; two great-grandchildren, Nevin and Kallea Waldron. Preceding Yvonne in death were her parents, John and Antonette Wagendorf, two brothers, Alvin and Alfred Wagendorf. A Memorial will be established by the family. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home in Hettiner, ND.
