Description	:	The Herald, Piedmont, West Virginia, July 13, 1893: "Mr. Z. W. Kalbaugh, well and favorably known in this section of Maryland and West Virginia departed this life at Mt. Lake Park, Md., July 5, 1893 aged 67 years, 4 months and 15 days after a lingering illness of some eight months. Mr. Kalbaugh was known as one of the old time merchants of Allegany County. Lake Park, Md., July 5, 1893 aged 67 years, 4 months and 15 days after a lingering illness of some eight months. Mr. Kalbaugh was known as one of the old time merchants of Allegany County. He began his busniess in partnership with Mr. John S. Combs of Lonaconing. They afterwards moved their store to Barton where they continued business until 1882. Mr. Kalbaugh was Superintendent of the Allegany County Insame Asylum at Cumberland for the past three years, which position he resigned because of ill health. He had been a member of Barton lodge of Odd Fellows for thirty-odd years. On receipt of the news of his death a committee was sent to Mt. Lake Park by his lodge and the remains brought here on Thursday and taken to his son-in-law, Mr. Wm. Hocking. The funeral took place Friday at the M.E. Church. The members of the I.O.O.F. attended in a body, there being about 40 in line, with Squire G. W. Sheetz as marshall. Mr. Kalbaugh leaves a wife and four children: Messrs.
