Description	:	Daughter of James Bond and Patience ___ Bond of Heath. Zebudah Bond was born on June 16th, 1830, in Franklin county, Mass. where she grew to young womanhood. April 16th, 1850 she was united in the sacred bond of marriage to Daniel Mccrellis. Soon after the young husband brought his bride to the western country where they established a home, settling in Linn county, Iowa, near the town of Paris, which was their home for many years.To this union eight children were born; six daughters and two sons. Zebudah Bond was born on June 16th, 1830, in Franklin county, Mass. where she grew to young womanhood. April 16th, 1850 she was united in the sacred bond of marriage to Daniel Mccrellis. Soon after the young husband brought his bride to the western country where they established a home, settling in Linn county, Iowa, near the town of Paris, which was their home for many years.To this union eight children were born; six daughters and two sons. The death angel visited the pioneer home three times calling away to the heavenly home one daughter and two sons while in their infancy. October 5th, 1881 the father and husband passed on to that better land.She is survived by five daughters, Mrs Josephine Baily of Central City; Mrs Ellen Powell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mrs Isabella Pike of Central City; Mrs Adella Pike of Central City; Mrs Esther Butler of Hugo, Okla; one brother, Thomas Bond of Central City; also nineteen grandchildren and thirty-six great grandchildren; besides other relatives and a host of friends.She was acquainted with the privations and toil of the early settlers life, and lived to see many and wonderful changes in the world about her, for had she lived until the 10th of next June she would have celebrated her ninety-first birthday.During the past few months she failed rapidly and last Saturday afternoon, May 7th, 1921, she closed her eyes upon this world, falling asleep in Jesus, to awaken in that brighter and better heavenly home. The funeral services were held from the Baptist Church Monday afternoon at two o'clock; Rev. R.D. Kinney having charge. The sermon was delivered by Rev. A.W. Higbee, pastor of the Christian Church of Marion. The remains were laid to rest in Oak Hill cemetery.(Note) The above is excerpts from her published obituary.
