Description	:	Mr. Zerubbabel Hoyt was the son of Walter Hoyt, founding settler of Norwalk. Zerubbabel had quite the colorful portfolio of careers. According to Norwalk town records, he was the town drummer/bell ringer/hog slayer/town house custodian and deacon of the church. In 1721, his estate was valued at 342 pounds sterling - there being only 2 of 3 others as large. Mehitabel Rockwell, widow Keeler, was Zerubbabel's 2nd wife. They married before 1725.
