Zeta Loleta Mercer was born July 19, 1902 at Grant, Iowa. In 1913 she came to Marlbank, Nebr., where she resided with her parents until 1918, when the family moved to Ainsworth. Zeta Loleta Mercer was born July 19, 1902 at Grant, Iowa. In 1913 she came to Marlbank, Nebr., where she resided with her parents until 1918, when the family moved to Ainsworth. She entered the Ainsworth high school, graduating in 1921. For several years she was employed in the office of the W. D. McCord implement establishment and later had charge of the office of her father who was then engaged in the implement business. She was married to Evert B. Dannatt on October 19, 1927 in Ainsworth, and they made their home on a ranch south of town. Early in life she embraced the Christian faith and has since been a faithful member of the Methodist church. She was a member of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron at one time. To know Mrs. Dannatt was to love and admire her. Her many womanly attributes and fine traits of character endeared her to all her associates. She leaves to mourn her untimely passing her husband, a son, Jerold Wallace and an infant daughter, June Elaine; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mercer and two brothers, Raymond and Frank Mercer. Her many friends and associates sincerely sympathize with Mr. Dannatt and little ones in their loss of wife and mother. Rev. L. V. Slocumb, conducted the funeral service at the Methodist church Monday afternoon. Burial was in the Ainsworth cemetery, the Eastern Star burial service being used. Ainsworth (NE) Star Journal June 13, 1935 (Thursday): Mrs. E. B. Dannatt Laid To Rest Monday Zeta Loleta Mercer was born July 19, 1902 at Grant, Iowa, and died at Ainsworth, June 7, 1935. In 1913 her parents moved to Marlbank, Nebraska, where they resided until 1918, when they moved to Ainsworth. She entered high school and graduated in 1921. Early in life she embraced the Christian faith, and was a faithful member of the Methodist Church—always exemplifying the Christian life. Also she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, being a Past Worthy Matron of the Bethany Chapter of Ainsworth. On October 19, 1927 she was united in marriage to Evert Bachus Dannatt. To this union two children were born, Jerold Wallace, age two years and seven months, and June Elaine, age seven days, who with her bereaved husband are left to mourn her decease. She is also mourned by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Mercer, and two brothers, Raymond and Myron, and a host of friends. The funeral was held at the M. E. Church Monday afternoon; the sermon being preached by the Rev. E. L. Slocum, a former pastor, now of Kimball, Nebraska; and at the graveside the beautiful burial service of the Eastern Star was read.
