Description	:	Zina Lee Gordon, 76, formerly of Belle Plaine, IA passed away peacefully Friday June 2, 2017 at home in West Allis, WI. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2017 at First Lutheran Church, Belle Plaine with Pastor Dean Duncan and Pastor Peter Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. A private family burial will take place at Rector Cemetery, Chelsea, IA. Memorials may be made to the family. Zina the daughter of Lowell and Emma (Seidel) Graham was born April 20, 1941 in Chelsea, IA. She graduated in 1959 from Belle Plaine High School. On November 15, 1969, she married Charles Gordon at the First Lutheran Church, Belle Plaine. Together the couple lived in Belle Plaine, where Zina was a stay-at-home mom and babysitter to many other children. Later, she worked as a CNA at the Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center until 2000 when she received a kidney donation from her son, Mark. The couple moved to West Allis, WI in 2011 to live with their daughter, Heather, and her family. Zina will be remembered for her homemade pies and giving nature. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards, going to the casino with her sister, Karen, traveling to Las Vegas to visit her niece, Peggy, and her (almost) weekly telephone calls with her friend, Bev Winkie. Above all Zina enjoyed her grandkids. She made it a priority to be the best “Meme”. She rarely missed a chance to watch them play sports, dance at recitals, play instruments or sing at concerts, and sing songs off-key to them. For many years she was a regular volunteer at Braeden and Nolen’s school. Zina is survived by her husband Charles Gordon, of West Allis, WI; sons, Mark (Jill) Gordon, of Lathrop, MO, Nicholas Gordon, of Milwaukee, WI; daughter, Heather (Darren) Rausch, of West Allis, WI; grandchildren, Blake Gordon, Braeden, Nolen and Emmalee Rausch; sister, Karen Graham, of Madison, WI; sister-in-laws, Janice Walter, of Ames, IA, Shirley Shetka, of Schaumburg, IL; and many more loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Wilma Bevins, Roberta Howes; nieces, Terri (Shetka) Koestner, Sheryl Bevins; nephews, David Bevins, Gary Bevins; brother-in-laws, Marvin Walter, Keith Bevins.
