Description	:	Mrs. J.M. McCoy, 78, West Lincolnway, died at her home Wednesday evening. She had been in her usual health and death was attributed to a heart attack. Born Zoa Paxson, March 14, 1889, on a farm north of Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Paxson. McCoy, 78, West Lincolnway, died at her home Wednesday evening. She had been in her usual health and death was attributed to a heart attack. Born Zoa Paxson, March 14, 1889, on a farm north of Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Paxson. When she was young, the family moved to the LeGrand area and she received her education there and later attended the Friends Academy at LeGrand. On July 28, 1907, in Marshalltown, she was married to J.M. McCoy and they established their home on a farm east of LeGrand. They farmed in Marshall and Tama Counties until moving to their present home in 1933 where they had since resided. Mr. and Mrs. McCoy observed their 60th wedding anniversary last year. Mrs. McCoy was a member of the Central Christian Church, the Central Iowa Art Association, and for 17 years was active on the Easter Seal drive also serving as chairman. Preceding her in death was a son, Paul. Surviving are her widower and a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Ruth) Winters of Marshalltown and a step-grandson.
