Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2015, at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church, 7407 Steel Creek Rd., Charlotte, NC with the Rev. Jeffrey Pickston officiating. Thomas and sisters Elizabeth Hanna Baker of Gastonia, NC and Hazel Hanna Bartulis of Clover, SC. Mrs. Thomas, whose home church was Clover A.R.P. Church, Clover, SC and for many years she was a member and church librarian at Tabernacle A.R.P. Church, Charlotte, NC. She and her husband, Raymond, more recently called Steele Creek Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, NC their church home. Mrs. Thomas was previously employed by American Thread Co., Clover, SC and retired from Goodyear Corp., Charlotte, NC. She was a lifelong avid reader and lover of her flowers and her cats. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff of Gaston Hospice and Meadow Wood Nursing Center, for all of their skilled care and support. M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, Clover, SC is serving the family of Mrs. Thomas.
