Description	:	Zoella Alice Housinger was born July 3, 1909, at Sylvia, Kansas, and died Feb. 22, 1928, at her home near La Feria, Texas, aged 18 years, 7 months and 19 days. She became a member of the Methodist church at Sylvia when a little girl, later her membership was moved together with her rest of the family to the M.E. church South at the Santa Rosa charge near her home in Texas. Read More	Zoella Alice Housinger was born July 3, 1909, at Sylvia, Kansas, and died Feb. 22, 1928, at her home near La Feria, Texas, aged 18 years, 7 months and 19 days. She became a member of the Methodist church at Sylvia when a little girl, later her membership was moved together with her rest of the family to the M.E. church South at the Santa Rosa charge near her home in Texas. Her school days began at Sylvia and she finished the grades and entered high school at Santa Rosa when ill health forced her to leave the school room. Zoella was loved by all who knew her and although the malady which finally caused her death was with her from infancy, she was always brave and cheerful, smiling many times when tears would have been easier, and leaves behind her a sweet memory of a short life, nobly lived. Her mother preceded her in death on February 11, 1911. (Zoella was only 1 1/2 years old)She leaves to mourn her departure her father, Arnold Housinger, one brother, Orley Howard, one sister Gladys Irene, two half brothers, Glenn and Lester, all of La Feria, Texas, her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Speaker and grandfather, Mr. N. Housinger of Sylvia, Kansas, besides a host of other relatives and friends. The body of the deceased was shipped to Sylvia, arriving Saturday evening and the funeral services were held from the Methodist church Sunday morning, Rev. T. F. Rudisill of Eureka was in charge.
