Description	:	Zola Duffy, age 86, of Iowa Falls, died on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Tuesday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. Tuesday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. Zola was born on December 28, 1927 to Edd and Susie Hart Smith. She grew up in the Colo area and graduated from the Colo High School in 1946. On March 15, 1947 Zola was united in marriage to Dale Duffy at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Dale and Zola joined the Ellis Methodist Church when they moved to Iowa Falls in 1951 to begin farming on their own. To this marriage three children were born; Randy, Carolyn, and Annette. Zola worked at Surratt General Publishing and Binding. She also sold Avon. She loved gardening, square dancing and was in a camp club. Dale and Zola went South for the winter and had many friends in the Donna, Texas area. Zola was a devoted wife for 63 years and a beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. Zola is survived by a son, Randy (Judy) Duffy of Iowa Falls; two daughters, Carolyn Duffy of Poplar Bluff, MO and Annette Duffy of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Sherri (Mike) Foels of Ankeny, Scott (Stephanie) Duffy of Marion, Carisa (Scott) Tompkins of Puxico, MO and Collin Patton of Mooresvillle, NC; three great-grandchildren, Madison Foels, Lily Duffy, and Dani Duffy. She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Harold, Glen, Howard, and Kenny Smith; and two sisters, Helen (Swanson) Moore and Florence Geer.
