She was a homemaker and seamstress extraordinaire. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plymouth where she served as teacher in the Sunday School and was a member of the Lillian Manning Circle. She was active with the Plymouth Women's Club. She was survived by her daughter, Xylda W. Gee; a son, Bruce W. Wright, brothers, Hansel Davenport and Fred A. Davenport;... Davenport; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and an extended family of relatives and friends. Her funeral was held July 9, 2008, at First Baptist Church with The Rev. Jimmy Hagwood officiating.
