She was born on August 10, 1934 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Reverend Willie Whitaker and Brozie (Slone) Whitaker. On October 7, 1950 she was married to German Sparks, who survives. Zora has been a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana since 1942. She retired from Zimmer, Inc. of Warsaw, Indiana, where she worked as a material handler for many years. She was a member of the Warsaw Family Worship Center of Warsaw, Indiana, and she loved to cook and knew what everyone liked. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband: German Sparks (Warsaw, Indiana); two daughters: Kathy Hall (Warsaw, Indiana); and Chris (husband Roger) Fannin (Rochester, Indiana). She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Greg Perry (Burket, Indiana); Aleisha Penn (Warsaw, Indiana); Jennifer Sutton (Columbus, Ohio); Brandon Fannin (Rochester, Indiana); eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Oralee Shepherd (Claypool, Indiana); Nora Irwin (Wildwood, Florida). She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and six sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana. Her funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, and officiated by Reverend William Whitaker. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery in Silver Lake, Indiana.
