Description	:	In the early 1820's in the community of Mulberry Ridge, now known as Eight Mile Road and Beechmont Avenue, there was formed a Methodist Congregation, which met in the homes of the area. They later joined together in the school house on the Charles Hopper farm in 1827. In 1835 they erected a church on a lot on Five Mile Road, on. the part now known as Forest Road. They later joined together in the school house on the Charles Hopper farm in 1827. In 1835 they erected a church on a lot on Five Mile Road, on. the part now known as Forest Road. They called themselves the Asbury Methodist Church, named after Bishop Asbury, who gained fame as a circuit rider. A cemetery plat was recorded on July 1, 1848 for one and fifty seven hundredths acres of land. An addition was built to this church in 1874, On March 21, 1920 they purchased ‘land on Beechmont Avenue. and changed the name to Asbury Methodist Church of Forestville. William Judd and C. B. Ayer donated. fifteen acres for a new church and parsonage at the corner of Forest Road and Beechmont Avenue on August 14, 1950. The Church now is known as Anderson Hills United Methodist church and they have no records for the cemetery. There are some unmarked graves. Some of the gravestones are in need of repair but maintenance is in the care of the township trustees. The cemetery is open for burials if family has space on the lot. These inscriptions were recorded in August 1988 by Ms. Beverly R. Haferreister, Mrs. Joan I. Hughes, Mrs. Mary H. Remler and Mrs. Nancye L. Stern. A few items in brackets were added from the T.P.White Funeral Home records at New Richmond, Ohio. The Mt. Washington Press published some of these records in 1971 and the Historical & Philosophical Society Bulletin, Vol.13 (July 1955), p.225 contained records made in 1936 by a WPA worker.
