| Description | : | The Barton family arrived in Bosque County Texas as pioneers in the 1860s following the Civil War. They came from South Carolina by wagon train with other families to settle between the Bosque River and Hog Creek near the present community of Mosheim. Some of the other families included Jaynes and Dodgions. The oldest persons buried in the cemetery are pioneers Peter Looney Barton and his wife, Nancy Terrell Barton.
