Description	:	During the summer of 1885, a small group of Lutherans organized and drew up a constitution. The charter members were August Thies, Henry Thies, August Seefeldt, Christian Seefeldt, Freiderick Seefeldt, Albert Meier, August Meier, and Albert Pieschke. In 1886, church services were held in the Ballard schoolhouse, located in N.E. section 14. In 1889, they wanted to acquire a cemetery. Freiderick Seefeldt donated an acre of land. In order to receive a deed for the land for the cemetery, the congregation had to incorporate. There was also talk of building a church.
