Both Racecourse Road Cemetery and Canton Road Cemetery were administered by the British Municipal Council and were referred to as the British Municipal Cemetery during their active periods. Canton Road Cemetery continued to be used after the opening of Racecourse Road for those of special political status. Both cemeteries were destroyed by the time of the Cultural Revolution. |
