| Description | : | This cemetery was used by the Russian Orthodox in Tientsin (now Tianjin). The Russian Jewish community had their own separate cemetery. The cemetery was located in the east portion of the Russian Concession on the left bank of the Peiho River in the larger Eastern District. Between 1922 and the occupation by the Japanese in 1939, the cemetery was enlarged and a chapel erected. By 1945, the cemetery had been converted to a park. The cemetery location is indicated correctly on the map view tab but IS NOT CORRECT on the satellite view, because of misalignment between the two modes. |
