Description	:	Opened in 1846, Dean Cemetery is on the site of the former Dean Mansion House. Some of the walls within the cemetery were part of the original estate. It was one of the first cemeteries in the Edinburgh to be laid out in formal lines. The 20th century extension is north of Ravelston Terrace with the main cemetery only accessible by a small gateway on the east side from the grounds of Dean Gallery.
