Description	:	The John (Johann) Fast farm, Midway Township - Sec. 18 - N.W. Quarter. N 43.98516 W 94.97529 It is located 3+ miles north of Mt. Lake on Co. Road #1 to Co. Road #3 - then west about 3 miles. The farm place is on the south side of Co. Road #3 with a long driveway. The Fast son, Heinrich, planted a poplar tree at the grave site of the children, Peter and Johann Quiring. His father Johann is also buried there. The tree is still standing today would be over 100 years old- it is at the southwest corner of the farmyard. The tree was struck by lightning several years ago and was taken down. Initially I was told that there are only three people buried at this cemetery. Liz McBride, the landowner confirms that there are actually 19 people buried there. As of year 2000, Mr Dean Harder lives on this farmstead.
