| Description | : | The Village Burial Ground (Parish Cemetery) is significant for its associations with settlement at the mill village of Unionville, later the town center of Ashland, and was Ashland’s principal burial ground until the dedication in 1870 of Wildwood Cemetery. Unionville was part of Hopkinton until its incorporation in 1846 as part of the new town of Ashland. This ground occupies land originally acquired in 1835 to build a Congregational church.
