Description	:	This cemetery is independent and not owned by the Town of Garden City. Rufus S. Carpenter donated 40 acres which originally was a portion of a tree claim in 1899. The location is filled with century old pine trees. The first burial was Johnnie Peterson, who was seven to eight year old, and the son of Albert & Emma Peterson. A grave moved in has the earliest death record being 1892 on the headstone. Potter's Field lies in the southeast corner which contains several unmarked grave sites.
