| Description | : | William Guthrie built the first brick home in Western Boyle County in 1813. The family burial ground on the back side of the farm near the woods has about 6 graves marked by field stones. The concrete (may be stone) box-like tombs have names and dates on the lids. The home is presently the private residence of W T Gorley. The farm is on the east side of KY 243 between Scrubgrass Creek and the nearby Casey Co line.
