Description	:	The Hampton Plantation dates back to the mid-1650s; the cemetery though didn't appear until sometime in the 1830s. One Md. state gov't. website said that southern troops raided the farm during the Civil War and stole oxen. After the passing of her 1st husband, the widow had 2 more husbands. All 3 are said to be buried in the cemetery. This is private property. Surrounding the cemetery is a working farm and a riding stable.
