Description : An historically black cemetery, the land for the cemetery was reportedly donated by the Highlands Lodge 20 Prince Hall and the Bostic Family. The earliest headstone dates back to 1947. However, the cemetery is thought to predate the Lake Placid subdivision in which it is situated. Proper records were not maintained of burials and, as a result, there are many unmarked graves. In some cases, trees were planted instead of headstones. The cemetery is maintained by the Highway Park Cemetery Association.
