The John Nicholas Leister Family Cemetery apparently no longer exists, but in 1923 it was on the John Royer Farm a short distance east of Morelock Schoolhouse Road along the Uniontown Road. John Nicholas (Johann Nicolaus) Leister was the immigrant ancestor of the Leisters of Carroll County and he had a farm/plantation about three miles west of Westminster. The headstone of Leister was last seen about 1950 in the barn on the Herbert LaMar Leister farm at 435 Sullivan Road, Westminster.
