Description : In 1760 a large brick non-demoninational church was built and called the Union Church, aka Union Meeting House and Old Union Church. Over the years the building was used for most community activities, including a Civil War Hospital. A plot of ground surrounding the structure had been used as a burial ground for at least 50 years prior as one stone had a date 1707 and the initials S. L.
