Description	:	The first known survey of this cemetery was done by Dr. Allan E. Marble on July 8, 1972. Per his usual custom, he did not give the cemetery a name but assigned it an identifying number, in this case 117, and cited the location correctly as New Albany. At a later date, Genweb volunteers transcribed his original survey notes and made them available online at Rootsweb and, at that time, the volunteers correctly named it "Loyalist Cemetery" and cited Dr. Marble's correct location, New Albany.
