Description : Cemetery is on private property owned and maintained by the owners of Smuggler's Den Campground. Stop by the campground office for permission and directions to the cemetery. The campground and cemetery are well kept and would make a nice base camp for anyone interested in camping and exploring the many area cemeteries and other attractions. Jacob Lurvey of Newburyport, Mass., bought 100 acres here in 1792. He later built a home not far from this family cemetery. The Isaac Herrick and family were neighbors of the Lurvey's.
