Description : A private (abandoned) cemetery established by the Marsh family, on their own land in Township 114N, in Marshan Township. Cpt. Michael Marsh was one of the early settlers in the area, which was known as Bellwood. An organizational meeting was held at the Marsh home on May 11, 1858, and the township of Marshan was created, naming the new formed community after him, according to the Neill's History of Dakota County, 1881.
