Description	:	This is a small community burial ground. The land was acquired by the Order of the Sons and Daughters of the Union Star from the Martin estate in 1887. The OSDUS was a social welfare society whose purpose was in part to provide homes for the members of the order; to take care of the sick and to bury the dead of the community; as well as to maintain a fund for the relief of widows, orphans, or the beneficiaries of deceased members of the order. The land was acquired by the Order of the Sons and Daughters of the Union Star from the Martin estate in 1887. The OSDUS was a social welfare society whose purpose was in part to provide homes for the members of the order; to take care of the sick and to bury the dead of the community; as well as to maintain a fund for the relief of widows, orphans, or the beneficiaries of deceased members of the order. In 1909 Collie Burton (who was a member of the Order) purchased acreage from the society surrounding the cemetery. The cemetery was in use at that time and is shown on his deed. In early obituaries burials are described as being in the family cemetery but later obits call the site "Martin's Cemetery." In recent years the site has sadly fallen into neglect.
