| Description | : | On February 5, 1885, a plot of ground was deeded to the trustees of the Scotia Methodist Episcopal Church (in Marysville, aka West Scotia) for the sum of one dollar. The trustees were Grays Mattern, Samuel T. Gray and David Mattern. The ground was 70 by 310 feet, and was donated by John Mattern. It is said it included space for a small cemetery. The last minister to serve this church was Rev. Wilson W. Reeder in 1920. Marysville African Methodist Episcopal Church is now gone.
