Description	:	New Evergreen Cemetery is located in a small settlement outside of the City of Coatesville in Valley Township. Originally named Passtown, the village became known as Hayti (locally pronounced "Hay-tie") when a large number of immigrant Haitian steelworkers and their families settled there in the late-nineteenth century. First established around that that same time, the original, older section of the cemetery, called Old Evergreen Cemetery, is located eastward across Cemetery Road from the New Evergreen Cemetery.
