Description	:	Prior to the establishment of the new cemtery, settlers were buried in the old cemetery situated about one-half mile north of the present town of Rush Springs. Most of the gravestones have disappeared. On August 31, 1949 there were 3 readable stones that remained. [From The History of Rush Springs by Hobert D Ragland.] The map location is approximate. It's in the wooded area north of the creek. My informant used to live in the house to the east of the cemetery. The first burial in the new cemetery was April 3, 1893.
